No matter what you're facing with your loved one, you are not alone.
Are you looking for meaningful ways to connect with your loved one? Do you have a parent or partner who could use tactile activity to encourage focus and enriching interaction? Or is your child or teenager struggling to find balance and relief in a high stress world?
Each of us - and those whom we care for - have specific circumstances, personalities, relationships and interests. Please reach out if you have challenges that you're seeking to overcome.
Wherever your loved one is in navigating the aging process, there are always challenges - meeting ever changing physical, mental and emotional needs, as well as finding adequate support, self-care and resources as a caregiver. Compiled below are some quality resources. In addition to these, I am working to develop more from my own experience working with seniors. If you have found helpful sites, podcasts, videos or books, please share them! This list is dynamic - as I'm always on the look out for more that might be helpful.
So many of our young people are struggling to find mental health & balance in the midst of depression and anxiety. And - as all parents of children facing difficulty know - the needs often change day to day. Though many great resources exist, more are needed.
There is no fix-all formula that brings balance and healing, as each person is different and dynamic. What resonates with YOUR child may not be the same thing that brings hope to another. What DOES remain constant is your love and commitment as a parent to keep going each day no matter what - the good, the bad and the ugly.
The list below is incomplete, but will grow as I continue to find and develop other resources. Please pass along any podcasts, websites, videos, etc. that you have found helpful in your journey. It may be just what another person needs. I will be starting work on a virtual one-on-one Journey's Thrive resource for teens that are unable to participate in a small group.
